The professor at the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Valencia, Manuel Perucho, explains the phenomenon of "active" galaxies, which have a brightness that can be 100,000 times higher than a "quiet" galaxy. A radiation that is determined by the amount of matter that is swallowing a black hole that is at the center of these galaxies.
