Nowadays plagues are known at all levels, caused by microorganisms such as viruses or bacteria and by vertebrates such as rodents, although the best known are above all those of insects and fungi. And although the concept of plague has not really changed much over time, what has changed is the way of approaching the problem: the methods to control them. Agriculture is one of the most dynamic sectors in our country, in terms of economic productivity, exports to other countries and job creation. For this reason, there is more and more research work on the control of pests that affect crops and forests.
