Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym, whose identity is still unknown, who conceived bitcoin in the midst of the economic crisis of 2008, when the credibility of financial and banking entities was crumbling worldwide. Beyond the controversy surrounding the use of cryptocurrencies, recent academic research has focused on the technology that supports them, as a source of innovation for other productive sectors. Without a doubt, cryptocurrencies are part of our digital future, but there are still many unknowns to be resolved.
