Mankind with his productive activities has degraded the vast majority of natural spaces and through ecological restoration it is intended to return the affected ecosystems to their original state. Having lost structure, degraded ecosystems have limited functioning, which can be improved through ecological restoration. Different lines of research try to study the best way to do it. Reserving spaces for the conservation of biodiversity, restoring what has been lost, as well as activating the capacity for resilience, would allow us to restore the environmental conditions of the environment and restore its natural and socioeconomic value.
