The University of Valencia's libraries hold an interesting collection of books with botanical illustrations that reveal the changes over the centuries in how the plant world is perceived and represented. The exhibition, organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and the Historical Library in collaboration with the University of Valencia's Botanical Garden, and curated by Jaime Güemes and José M. Azkárraga, traces the history of botanical illustration and offers a unique opportunity to rediscover the beauty and scientific rigor found within the pages of a selection of the holdings of the Vicent Peset Llorca Historical-Medical Library, the José Pizcueta Botanical Garden Library, and the Historical Library.
