Two studies by the Cavanilles Institute (ICBiBe) of the University of Valencia provide new data on the factors that affect the survival and occupation of territories of the Bonelli's Eagle (‘Aquila fasciata’) in the Valencian Community. The activity of anthropogenic origin and the loss of biodiversity in the habitat call for the implementation of conservation actions to ensure the long-term survival of this emblematic bird of prey in danger of extinction. The works appear published in “Journal of Wildlife Management” and “Ecological Applications” and summarize part of the results of what was the doctoral thesis of Andrés López Peinado, doctor from the University of Valencia.
