The University and the Generalitat have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the right to decent and adequate housing through the development of the promotion and encouragement of housing cooperatives in the Valencian Community. The Agreement has been signed by the Second Vice President and Minister of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, Rubén Martínez Dalmau, by the Rector of the University of Valencia, M.ª Vicenta Mestre, and by the President of the Federation of Housing Cooperatives (FECOVI) , Vicent Diego i Ramón. The University of Valencia will collaborate with the Generalitat on objectives through the University Institute of Social and Cooperative Economy (IUDESCOOP), which should promote scientific research in these fields, promote publications, organize and promote seminars and courses, develop training activities and provide advice scientist and technician in matters related to the social and cooperative economy.
