The removal of vegetation cover causes a huge loss of biodiversity of plants, animals and microorganisms. In addition, there is an important effect on climatic conditions, since temperature changes are no longer cushioned, which makes them much more abrupt. In addition to the loss of biodiversity or affecting climate change, deforestation brings other consequences, such as the emergence of new diseases or increased poverty. Scientists study the different strategies to try to mitigate and solve these problems. The planet's biodiversity is threatened and the main culprit is the one who, paradoxically, depends the most on it: the human being. Environmental education is one of the keys to make society aware of its responsibility towards nature, to protect and conserve it.
