The media have adapted to changes with new formats and new ways of communicating. Users operate multiple devices to inform and communicate, but also to learn. Universities have had to adapt to forced marches to be able to offer distance education on a massive scale. Communication theories have existed for decades, but our universities continue to investigate the new possibilities offered by the media and the impact they generate on society. The information is no longer exclusive to any medium. Now it is in the hands of citizens, communication companies and governments to take on the challenge of controlling the veracity of what is published and consumed.
