The fabricated device is a clear methacrylate urn that covers the patient's head during intubation. It is an additional protection for healthcare staff, low cost, easy to clean and reuse. It has two holes on one side through which doctors can insert their hands to perform the intubation procedure while protecting themselves from the patient's respiratory particles. Public and private hospitals in the Valencian Community had requested from the University these innovative Collective Protection Equipment (EPC) that were manufactured by the laboratories of the University Institute of Robotics and Technology Research of the University of Valencia (IRTIC).
