Although it may seem impossible, almost two centuries ago an attempt was made to change the use of fuels derived from coal or oil. Today, research in search of more sustainable fuels is one of the most important and hopeful lines in universities that work in the automotive sector. Currently, work is being done on eliminating polluting emissions from vehicles and reducing their weight to minimize consumption. On the other hand, progress is also being made in the autonomy of vehicles and how it can affect the infrastructures that already exist. All these promising advances must be accompanied by regulations capable of providing security and confidence to users, who are the ones who will have the last word.
