The exhibition presents a selection of fragments of books, manuscripts and incunabula that were recycled in order to bind later ones. This action has made it possible to locate works from different parts of Europe. Among the identified fragments, a homily from the 11th-12th centuries has been located, which has become the oldest manuscript kept by the University of Valencia. Sheets of paper from incunabula were also used in the binding of books, as some of the books on display reveal. Thanks to this exhibition, the Historical Library has been able to locate up to six fragmentary incunabula, the existence of which was unknown.
